A Bit About Me

People want to explore their thoughts, feelings and patterns of behavior without fear of judgement or abandonment while gaining the tools to handle the future. Often people want to unclutter their assumptions and better understand others’ intentions and motivations but feel stuck and do not know where to start. We all go through experiences that feel painful, isolating, challenging, and uncomfortable, but any feeling, no matter how long we experience it for, is not permanent. We will always evolve, and our needs and experiences will follow. I believe therapy provides a unique opportunity to bring self-awareness to the relationship with yourself and to your connections with others if you allow yourself to be open to it.

I utilize a holistic and individualistic approach that focuses on the client as a whole person. I am passionate about helping you find patterns in your emotions, thoughts, and beliefs in order to increase insight and awareness into your current self and to help identify important aspects of your character, assisting you in arranging and forming a more functional and positive sense of self.

I am here to listen and lean in softly with a willingness to be moved. I strive to truly see, hear, understand, and accept you as we process through life’s challenges together and reconnect you to your body, mind and emotions. Although therapy is a collaborative process, you are an expert in your own life. As a facilitator of healing and change, I am dedicated to holding space with curiosity and compassion, as we uncover what is impeding on your life.

Experience:

Morgan is a Licenced Professional Counselor Candidate and a Denver University graduate with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Over the past few years, she has worked at Colorado “I Have a Dream” Foundation and Colorado Continuum Recovery Center working with and assessing clients in individual and group settings with anxiety, depression, trauma experiences, sexuality, grief, substance use, interpersonal growth and relationship difficulties. Morgan has experience in equine therapy, art therapy and play therapy and is looking to receive EMDR training in the fall.

More than just my work:

My favorite quote: “Happiness is a continuous work. It is an act of maintenance. It is not like, when you reached it, it will always be the same. You must accept that it comes, and it goes. It’s like water that you must repeatedly fetch. Sometimes it will tire you. Sometimes you will run out of it. But happiness, like the water you fetched, will cleanse you, quench you, bloom your garden and make your life so much more beautiful. May you have all the reasons to get it.” - Jerico Silvers
