A Bit About Me
Some people struggle with aspects of daily life but aren’t sure why. Parents may notice their child learns or communicates differently. Individuals may feel they’ve always experienced the world in a unique way or felt “out of sync.” These experiences often lead to questions about autism or ADHD.
I provide comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults exploring autism and/or ADHD. I specialize in late-identified cases and those involving overlapping mental health concerns or trauma. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and identity-sensitive, always considering the context of a person’s culture, environment, and lived experience.
Clients often leave the evaluation process feeling seen and understood, with clearer insight into their personal strengths and challenges. Whether or not a diagnosis is made, my goal is to offer meaningful insight that helps make sense of your story and supports building a path forward that aligns with your unique thinking style.
Parenting doesn’t come with an instruction manual, but it can come with support. For parents of neurodivergent children, learning how to align your approach with your child’s unique way of experiencing the world can be transformative. I offer parent coaching and therapy to help families reduce conflict and promote social-emotional growth.
I use two research-backed parent therapies that support children’s emotion regulation and anxiety – Parent Management Training and SPACE.
Parent Management Training (PMT) helps parents learn practical, evidence-based strategies to reduce behavioral challenges and encourage positive social-emotional development. This approach is also sometimes called behavior parent training, or parent coaching.
SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is a parent-based treatment for childhood anxiety developed at Yale University. SPACE focuses on helping parents respond to their child’s anxiety in ways that build long-term confidence and resilience. SPACE can be especially helpful for families who find in-person child sessions difficult or ineffective, or for those who prefer a parent-driven approach. Research shows that SPACE is as effective as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in treating childhood anxiety.
Through working together, my goal is to empower individuals and families to better understand themselves and identify supportive environments and strategies to thrive.
